Grades

The sawmill industry has a great many quality standards and Jarl Timber has a broad offering. Countries have a variety of standards today, which means that many exist which are quite similar. Work is going on to introduce a European quality grading standard, which will make things easier for both producers and consumers. At the present time no date has been set for the implementation of such a standard but we will be well prepared and will keep you informed.

Product groups

In our standard range, we keep many product groups in stock.

Here are some examples of product groups that we keep in stock:

Strength graded timber (GS/SS-C16/C24)

Roof truss and joist timber, graded and stamped according to GS/SS BS-4978 (British Standard). Supplied planed with rounded corners and packed to lengths. Always in five-sided packaging. Preservative treatment also available to all relevant standards.

Studs

Studs have a large and broad area of application. In addition to traditional inner and outer walls, your own imagination is the only limit, except where a specific strength class is required. Supplied planed with rounded corners and packed to lengths, in five-sided packaging.

Jarl Timber has extensive experience of producing planed material in 45x45/70/95/120/145 widths. They are available in 2.4 m, 2.5 m and 3 m lengths. Planed with rounded corners. Half-packs.

Roofing Battens

Roof laths in the dimensions 19x38, 25x38 and 25x50 are a relatively major product for us. Supplied in half-packs, bundles of 10. Each lath is stamped and impregnated according to British Standard. Timber preservation for the UK market according to British Standards.
